Mr. Pozotrigo was a Resident Engineer for construction inspection services for this $12 million contract for partial substructure replacement of piers, pedestals, and abutments and complete superstructure replacement of three bridges on Route 209 over Esopus Creek (D037608).
The scope of work includes pedestal and bearing replacement, complete superstructure demolition over water including asbestos and lead abatement, erection of new structural steel members, deck replacement with lightweight concrete, new bridge rail and approach guide rail, pavement with hot mix asphalt (HMA) 70 series and substructure concrete repairs, temporary access platforms, staged construction for two of the structures, and a 64-day temporary detour for the single structure with an incentive/disincentive clause. All records are being kept in accordance with MURK. Responsible for maintaining an engineer’s daily project diary describing the progress of work in Site Manager.
