Mr. Pozotrigo was the Resident Engineer/Project Manager for this reconstruction of Route 9A following the attack to the World Trade Center towers. This was a 24/7, extremely fast-paced project that required extensive coordination with multiple agencies from the federal government, the Office of the Mayor, NYCDDC, PANYNJ, MTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, and private utility companies.
A new temporary roadway was built in seven weeks and was highly praised by the Governor. It included new utilities, sewers, watermains, pavement, and landscaping. The project continued for two more years and included the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over Route 9A. Construction cost: $30 million
