Mr. Pozotrigo was a Project Manager/Resident Engineer for construction inspection services for this $10 million contract for rehabilitation of 14 bridges on the Long Island Expressway and Southern State Parkway in the Hempstead, North Hempstead, and Oyster Bay areas (D031383).
Work on this project included removal of steel joints and portion of deck, installing new portions of deck, installing new asphaltic plug joints, bearing resetting with bridge jacking, pedestal rehabilitation, underdeck spall and crack repair, median barrier rehabilitation, sound, snow fence replacement, removal and replacement of stone parapet walls, architectural concrete staining, guiderail replacement, construction of new concrete foundations, sidewalk and curb reconstruction, brick rehabilitation, installation of chain link fence, structural lifting, deck spall repair, milling and paving of bridges and approaches, roadway striping, installation of road plates, and extensive WZTC including roadway closures and ramp closures. Coordination was required with LIRR safety requirements including working with flaggers and attendance at daily safety briefings
